Swapped mine out this weekend and the stainless steel body feels rock solid compared to the old plastic one. Grind output is noticeably more consistent now, and the whole process took under ten minutes with a basic wrench.

Was skeptical about swapping out the plastic part, but the stainless steel retainer fits perfectly and the grinder sounds more solid now. Burr alignment feels noticeably more stable during a grind, so I'm glad I made the switch for my pre-2021 machine.
